Many years ago, when the Receiver Gallery was still on 7th Ave, the owners commissioned a robot/alien mural. Receiver has since moved, and the mural has been partially covered with this (gorgeous) graffiti.

Have you ever seen a purple backhoe? I hadn’t until I spotted this at a construction site in the neighborhood. Who had the outrageous idea of painting a large piece of machinery pink and purple?
