Slump

I’m having one of THOSE weeks. You know – the ones where you’re tired and fried for no reason, where nothing seems to work. In my case, it could be due to any number of things – postponing a trip to LA, a soon-to-be new job, the long weekend and subsequent short “work” week.

Weeks like these call for long bike rides and movie days. Instead, I’ve been watching too much TV (and usually, I watch very little TV). And drawing. The funny thing is that this week has felt so unproductive, and yet my sketchbook has filled up. I do wonder where those sketches are coming from…

I don’t really have any posts in me right now. Heck, I don’t have any recipes in me – and that’s a huge deal (I’ve been eating portabella sandwiches and pasta in lemon sauce all week). So I’ll sign off for a few days, and leave you with a few photos from this week.

Happy, short workweek. See you in a few days.

  1. I love that photo of the ginko leaves… like *love* it.

A full sketchbook doesn’t sound unproductive but I know what you mean. Just give yourself the time to relax a little and keep drawing. Sometimes we forget as artists to set aside time for just *thinking* about what we want to create and that is every bit as important as the physical creation. Enjoy your light workload!

  2. Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the pictures on this blog
loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog.
Any feed-back would be greatly appreciated.
