Live bravely – a giveaway!

I’m giving away two of my “Live Bravely” prints – one to a lucky winner, and another one to a friend of the winner’s choosing. Who couldn’t use a little more bravery in her (or his) life?

Here’s how to enter: leave a comment below telling the world how you choose to live bravely. It can be anything, really, as long as it has meaning for you.

I’ll draw the winner’s name next Friday, May 25th and will contact the winner to find out where to send the prints. Yes, the winner gets to choose the colors. Yes, I can send to two different addresses and, yes, I will ship internationally.

So, post away and check back here next Friday.

  1. I choose to live bravely by going on with life and not dwelling on what i have lost after a serious medical(www.sepsisalliance.org/faces/heidi_ottilie) condition occurred after the birth of my first child. We cannot have any more biological children and my dreams had to change significantly. I live each day with joy, knowing that today could be changed in an instant. Sometimes being brave is hard, but i know that i am so lucky to be hear with my daughter and husband.

  2. I live bravely by asking myself, “why not?” Whenever I think that I can’t do something because it’s scary, or that’s “for other people, but not me,” I ask myself: “why not?” Most of the time, I don’t have a good answer. So I dyed my hair blue. I wear my own creations. I went to Burning Man on a whim. I applied to grad school last week. I will run a marathon this fall. All because I choose to be brave in the face of some things I’m not so sure about. It makes life more interesting! Thanks for offering the giveaway…this may be the print that speaks to me the most!

  3. I have been touched by your “Live Bravely” quote. I went through a divorce 2 years ago. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Then I had to ask myself if I could Love Bravely. I have been in a relationship for over a year with someone I have known for 30 years. We reconnected after we hadn’t seen or heard from each other in 15 years. We also live 600 miles apart. I had to make the decision to Love Bravely. I have and find myself in the most amazing relationship I have ever known. I am also the strongest person I have ever been. I tackle all my dreams now. I truly live life Bravely!

  4. I live bravely by working on defining my own success and happiness. And by figuring out how to earn a living on my own terms.

Awesome give away! I love these prints.

  5. I am truly inspired by you and your living bravely. My living bravely was when I took that leap of faith 2 years ago to quit my full time job and move towards a more creative, open life.
I feel I’m in the midst of a major transition and living bravely is going to have to be my motto since there really isn’t any other way to move through this…
    xxoo

  6. I choose to live bravely by not leaving before the miracle happens. By that I mean – waiting – and being with discomfort and trusting that it will pass. I know that for me when I wait it out – there is something on the other side of discomfort that is even better than anything I can ever imagine.

  7. I live bravely by smiling when things get tough. I just finished my first year of graduate school and what a journey it has been thus far. I moved away from SF to Chicago, where I am currently living by myself for the first time in my life. I had to move away from my major support system (my partner, family and friends), the comforts and connections of SF, and most importantly, my two very adorable loveable doggies, to pursue higher education and it’s been quite a challenge. Like any relationship, there are negotiations between how to grow, emotionally and physically, as an individual but also as a whole unit. My decision to come to graduate school for two years is to build a better quality of life for years to come for my family (doggies included!!). With my degree, I will be able to have a job that will proliferate my life and theirs as well. I have learned to smile through the moments of sadness, to channel the energy into creative making and to keep charging forward because this is life and you have live bravely to make sure every sacrifice is worth it!

  8. Three years ago, love kocked on my door. I was a happy longtime single well in my forties and really didn’t expect the call. Although everybody adviced me against the relationship I decided to live bravely and to open the door and my heart. I have found the love of my life.
I now live bravely by starting a new career in surface design, choosing new experience and growth against financial security.
Love your print! It would feel very much at home on my studio wall. Thanks for offering!
