Bulb flowers are here. The flower stand at the farmers’ market has tulips, and the paperwhites my friend Christine gave me for my birthday just started to bloom. When anemones and ranunculus start to appear, I’ll know spring is almost here.

Oh, how lovely. I missed the paper-whites ship, but I brought home a ranuculus, pink hyacinth, and a grape hyacinth from Trader Joe’s yesterday and they look so wonderful… So yes, I recommend stopping by T.J.’s for some ranuculus and hyacinth. :)
Pity the fools who are still shoveling snow in the “Mid-Century” midwest, we have flowers in California! Yay.
