I’ve spent the last two days at the Outside Lands Fest in San Francisco (and I’m exhausted). The highlight of the weekend was seeing Raphael Saadiq live. He’s such an incredible performer – wearing a suit and tie in 90-degree heat, he energetically wowed a crowd that I suspect wasn’t very familiar with his most recent work.
Plus, I love the preppy-mod look of Motown bands from the early 60s. Men in suits, argyle, plaid, and skinny pants. Yes, please.
