I found this vintage lamp on the sidewalk a few months ago but hadn’t done anything with it because it wasn’t working. My parents were here last weekend, so I asked my dad to take a look at it because he can fix pretty much anything (thanks to years of high school shop classes and his Uncle Jake). After a bit of troubleshooting, he clipped the cord a bit, taped it up, and handed it back to me. The lamp now works.
It’s made out of three pieces of carved alabaster and has a cool, gold plastic cord (cords these days are always white or black plastic). All I need now is a lampshade. Universe, will you send me a lampshade? Thank you.
I wish people in Dallas threw better stuff away. All I found on bulk week was some tree branches and a broken plastic chair.
