I finished sewing a dress – the first piece of clothing I’ve made in almost 20 years. And, well, it looks like a home ec project. It’s wearable and even flattering, but I’m not ready to reveal it to the world yet. One of these days I’ll get around to posting a photo.
Anyway, after the dress, I decided to embark on a project that required less fitting and allowed a little more room for error.
Et voila – this small quilt. These photos are from days 1 and 2 of work. The squares have been sewn together and the birdie appliqués have been sewn on.
Next up is topstitching (by hand). I think… I’ve never actually made a quilt before. Perhaps I should check out a book on it.
