A friend gave me this vintage notions box years ago. It’s made of plywood and wood remnants and its finish is spotty in places. And it looks like someone made it by hand – possibly a gift from a young man to his girlfriend?
Apparently, Jake is big in Japan – or, at least, his permed doppelganger is. I must buy this book. Perhaps a trip to Kinokuniya is in order this weekend. If you can read Japanese, and have a few Yen, you can buy the book here.
