I receive a lot of emails asking the same, few questions, so I thought I’d answer the questions I receive most often here.
Scarf Club memberships for 2022 are closed. You will be able to purchase individual scarves when they become available, while those supplies last.
I no longer regularly teach my block printing class, and am not looking to add new teaching venues at this time. If I do decide to teach again, you'll be able to find my teaching schedule here.
Yes, I do! I’ve taught private classes for a number of companies in the Bay Area. Please contact me if your company would like more information about this. However, I do not teach classes for private parties or quilt guilds, or do one-on-one sessions with individuals.
I get asked these questions a lot, which is one of the reasons I started teaching, and wrote a book. The answers are complex, and are very specific to my own practice. My studio isn’t open to the public. These days, I’m often working on client projects that I can’t yet share publicly. Plus, my studio is in my home and I’m very protective of my privacy!
I wish there were more hours in the day! Alas, I often don’t have enough time to see all the friends I already have, and I don’t like to interrupt my workday to socialize, so I have a blanket policy of not meeting up with strangers (however lovely they may be) for coffee/drinks/etc.
Again, I'm very protective of my time, and so I also have a blanket policy of not doing informational interviews, whether in person, on the phone, or via email. I'd write a blog post about my more specific reasons for not doing end-of-term student interviews, but the illustrator Marian Bantjes has already written a fantastic essay where she talks about her reasons, and I couldn't have said it better myself. No, I do not. I made this decision due to constraints on my time, space, and capital.
You can be notified when I restock an item by going to that item's listing in my shop, and clicking on the "email when available" button. I do not take preorders for any items.
I ran my Tea Towel of the Month Club in 2017 and 2018, and have since discontinued it so I can focus on other projects.
I have a commercial line with Moda Fabrics/Ruby Star Society, which is available in my shop now. Retailers can buy fabric directly from Moda.
Yes, I do, and am always looking for new licensing opportunities. If you are a manufacturer, publisher, or other business that regularly licenses artwork, please contact me to discuss further.
It depends. I do custom work for retail and corporate clients, as well as license my artwork. If this is something that your company is interested in, please contact me. I do not have the bandwidth to take on smaller projects for individuals.
Probably not! Most of my hand-printed work is limited-edition, which means that once something sells out, it’s gone. I don’t re-run limited editions.
No, I do not accept advertisements or sponsored content. My site and blog are pretty much for promotion of my own work only.
